I’m Melissa (she/her). I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Education. My Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology is from Nova Southeastern University. Completing my course work online allowed me to continue working in the field through my degree and afforded me insight into remote communication. I completed my clinical placements in a variety of locations around New Hampshire allowing me to meet local Speech Language Pathologists. I worked in the public school system for eight years as a certified Speech Language Assistant and one as a Clinical Fellow. Over the last five years, my career has shifted to medical practice in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings with adult and pediatric patients. More recently, I have completed a 20 hour experience resulting in an Executive Functions Consulting micro-credential (EFC). This was such a positive experience I am in the midst of completing a 20 hour self-study on the topic of assessment and intervention of executive functioning skills through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the New Hampshire Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NHSLHA). Throughout my career I have learned and continue to be amazed by the power of executive functioning training and am passionate about sharing this knowledge.
